Description

GENERAL

Mountain Zas is located in the southern part of the island and is the highest in the Cyclades (+1003 m). Near the summit a votive deposit was noted.


 

MONUMENTS

A deposit was found 5 m North of the modern marker. It contained a large amount of burnt bones and sherds. There is no evidence of a structure of any kind.


 

FINDS

Clay Vessels

Animal bones: Burnt

Most of the sherds are small and non-diagnostic.


 

DATE

Archaic (7th c.- 6th c. B.C.).
